MOT – Wollaton

 At Wollaton Auto Centre, we carry out MOT testing for class 4 and class 7 vehicles, covering everyday cars alongside vans and light commercials.

An MOT is a legal requirement for most vehicles over three years old in the UK. It checks that your car meets the minimum safety and environmental standards needed to stay on the road, and without a valid certificate, your vehicle cannot legally be driven except to a pre-booked test or repair.

What happens next if your car doesn’t pass

If your car doesn’t pass, we’ll give you a clear breakdown of exactly what’s failed and why, in plain language rather than technical jargon. Many faults, such as worn brake pads or a blown bulb, are straightforward to put right, and we can usually carry out the repairs on site.

Once the necessary work is complete, we retest the vehicle to confirm it now meets the required standard. Where a fault is more involved, we’ll talk you through your options before any work goes ahead, so you always know what you’re agreeing to.
